Single-card or Multi-Variation listings

When to give each card its own listing, and how a Multi-Variation listing works.

You choose the listing type when you start a batch, under What are you uploading?

Single-card listings

With Raw — front + back or Raw — one photo, each card becomes its own eBay listing. Graded slabs are always single listings. Use these for cards worth a listing of their own.

Multi-Variation listings

A Multi-Variation listing is the classic pick-your-card bulk listing: one Buy It Now listing, and buyers choose their card from a list of options. It suits lots of lower-value cards.

  • Each card keeps its own price, photos and details.
  • Copies of the same card (number, finish, condition and price) become one option with a quantity.
  • Options are listed in card-number order.
  • eBay allows one condition and up to 250 options per listing, so mixed conditions or big sets are split across listings.
  • On eBay Australia, Multi-Variation listings need an eBay Pro seller account.

Make one

  1. Click New batch, pick the game, and drop in your photos.
  2. Under What are you uploading?, choose Multi-Variation Listing.
  3. Under Photos per card, choose Front only or Front + back, then upload as usual.
  4. On the review page, fill in the Variation listing panel: title, description and cover photos. Choose One listing per set or One mixed listing. It saves automatically.
  5. Check the cards, then click Publish to eBay and Publish … cards as variations.

With One listing per set, cards from a set you already have a live listing for are added to that listing.

After it’s live

Find your listings in Inventory under Multi-Variation Listings. Click one to change its title, description, covers and prices. When a copy sells, the Pick list tells you which box it’s in.
